How we choose a platform.
We are not a WordPress shop or a Webflow shop. We pick the platform that fits the content, the design, the team that will run it and the speed it needs. Here is where we land, and why.
WordPress
The editor most teams already know, the deepest plugin ecosystem and mature SEO tooling. When a site lives on articles, guides and landing pages, WordPress is still the safest home.
Read whyWebflow
Pixel-level control, real interactions and clean output without a plugin stack. When the brief is a design-led marketing site, Webflow lets the design survive the build.
Read whyReact and Next.js
Static and edge rendering, image optimization and code you own. When performance, custom features or a headless CMS are on the table, Next.js is our default.

Our honest take on each. Each one links to a full guide.
| Platform | Type | Our view | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress | CMS | Our pick | Blogs, content hubs, service businesses, multi-author sites | Plugin bloat and updates; needs managed hosting and care |
| Webflow | Visual builder | Our pick | Design-led marketing sites, launches, brand sites | Seat and CMS item limits; complex logic needs custom code |
| React / Next.js | Framework | Our pick | Speed-critical sites, headless builds, portals and apps | Needs developers for changes outside the CMS |
| Contentful | Headless CMS | Strong fit | Structured content, reusable blocks, multi-channel and multi-locale | Content modeling up front; plan tiers scale with usage |
| Sanity | Headless CMS | Strong fit | Custom editorial workflows and real-time collaboration | Studio is code-configured; needs a developer to evolve |
| Shopify | Ecommerce | Our pick | Most DTC and retail stores | App sprawl slows stores and adds monthly cost |
| BigCommerce | Ecommerce | Strong fit | B2B, large catalogs, multi-storefront | Smaller theme and app ecosystem than Shopify |
| WooCommerce | Ecommerce | Situational | Content-led stores already on WordPress | Hosting, security and performance are on you |
| Framer | Visual builder | Situational | Fast startup and product marketing sites | Limited CMS depth and integrations for larger sites |
| Squarespace | Visual builder | Situational | Small brochure sites and simple shops | Hard ceilings on SEO control, speed and custom features |
| Optimizely | Enterprise DXP | Situational | Enterprises needing experimentation and personalization at scale | Enterprise licensing and implementation cost |
| Elementor | Page builder | Situational | Teams that need drag-and-drop editing in WordPress | Heavier markup; needs discipline to stay fast |
| Divi | Page builder | Situational | Existing Divi sites and visual editing fans | Shortcode lock-in makes leaving painful |
| Astra | Page builder | Strong fit | Lightweight WordPress base theme with blocks | A theme, not a design; still needs real design work |
| Bolt, Lovable, v0 | AI builder | Situational | Prototypes, MVPs and simple sites built fast | Forms, SEO, security and hosting often need fixing |
Headless, and Contentful content blocks
When content has to feed more than one website, app or locale, we model it in a headless CMS. In Contentful that means content types for every reusable block (hero, feature grid, FAQ, call to action) that editors stack into pages, rendered by a fast Next.js front end.
